Who this is between
First Rep is operated by Ruzylo Cloud, LLC ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the app and of this website. Using either means you accept them.
They are written to be read. Where a sentence here is shorter than the equivalent in somebody else's terms, that is a decision about clarity and not a gap we intend to argue in later.
The service
First Rep is software provided as-is: a beginner barbell program, the weight to load next, and a log of what you lifted, held on your own device. We work to keep it running and useful, but we offer no uptime guarantee and no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law requires one.
What you pay, and what that buys
Pricing published before launch. There is no price today, no subscription in force, and nothing on this site or in the app that can charge you. When a figure is decided it is published on the front page before anything can be bought, and these terms are updated in the same pass.
Two commitments attach to whatever that figure turns out to be:
- Thirty days, money back, no reasons needed — attached to whatever the price turns out to be.
- The program is not divided. There will be no tier that holds back a lift, the reduction, or your own history.
What will not be sold at any price
- Advertising of any kind, in the app or on this site.
- A supplement affiliate program — no powder codes, no sponsored stack, no commission on anything you swallow.
- Your training log, in whole or in part, to anybody, for any purpose, including the training of models.
- A feed, a leaderboard, or any surface on which another person can see what you lifted.
Your account, if you ever make one
Account — optional, always. The program runs without signing in to anything, and no feature is withheld from a person who never makes one. Joining the register on this site takes an email address and nothing else.
If you do make an account, keep your sign-in private, and tell us at privacy@ruzylo.dev if you believe it has been misused.
Your training log is yours
Your training log stays on the device, in the phone's own storage. We do not hold a copy, which means we cannot read it, cannot restore it if the phone is lost, and cannot be compelled to produce it. Back up your phone if the record matters to you.
You keep every right in what you log. You grant us no licence to it, because we never receive it.
Not medical advice, and not coaching
First Rep provides a training program and a record of it. It is not medical advice, physiotherapy, or personal coaching, and it does not know anything about you beyond the weights you type in.
It cannot see the bar, so it makes no claim that your technique is correct or that a given lift is safe for you to attempt. Barbell training carries real risk of injury. Speak to a physician before starting an exercise program, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or managing a heart, joint or blood-pressure condition. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or faintness. You are responsible for your equipment, your setup, your safety devices, and the weight on the bar.
Where the app describes what a set should feel like, that is a description offered to help you judge — not a diagnosis, and never a reason to continue a lift that feels wrong.
Acceptable use
- Do not use First Rep to harm anyone, including yourself.
- Do not probe, break, or reverse-engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it.
- Do not use it to send spam, harassment, or anything unlawful.
Ending it
Delete the app and it is over; the log goes with it, because it was never anywhere else. If you have joined the register, write to privacy@ruzylo.dev and we remove the address.
We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken, with notice wherever that is feasible.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law permits, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of First Rep is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty dollars, whichever is greater. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located there.
Changes
If we change these terms materially — and publishing the price will be one such change — we update this sheet and write to everyone on the register. Continuing to use First Rep after that means accepting the revised terms.
